Guiding Star Communications and Consulting Inc. (“Guiding Star,” “we,” “us”) provides Activation Pulse, a post-learning reflection and insight platform. We are committed to protecting the privacy of Participants, Managers/Administrators, and Client Organizations. Activation Pulse is designed with a privacy-aware reporting model, where individual responses are not disclosed in raw form to employers or administrators.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: Name, professional email address, role. Reflection Data: Participant responses to Reflection 1 and 2, structured selections, optional written comments. Organizational Data: Organization name, administrator contact, program identifiers. Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device and session information, cookies.

3. Special Notice to Participants (Employer-Sponsored Use)

Your organization may have access to aggregate reports, completion status, and your name as a participant. By default, your organization will not have access to your individual written comments, individual reflection responses, or any personal recommendations generated by the system. Where participant numbers are low, we may suppress or limit reporting to maintain confidentiality.

4. How We Use and Share Data

We use your data solely to provide and improve the Activation Pulse service: delivering reflection workflows, generating aggregate insight reports, and identifying patterns. Aggregate results are shared with authorized organizational representatives. Individual responses are not shared in raw form. We may use trusted third-party providers for secure hosting, payment processing (e.g., Stripe), and analytics. We do not sell personal data. We may use anonymized and aggregated data to improve the platform and develop benchmarks.

5. Cookie Policy

Necessary Cookies: Required for logging in, maintaining session security, and ensuring proper functionality. These cannot be disabled. Performance Cookies: We may use analytics tools to understand navigation and improve usability. You may block cookies via browser settings, but the platform may not function correctly without necessary cookies.

6. Security and Data Handling

We employ SSL encryption, secure authentication, controlled access, and regular backups. Data may be stored in secure cloud environments in Canada, the United States, or the European Union. We operate in alignment with Canadian privacy standards (PIPEDA) and GDPR principles where applicable.

8. Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. Activation Pulse does not store full credit card information.

9. Legal Terms

Guiding Star is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This policy is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Ontario.
